Conceptualizing your ideas and turning them into something tangible as an online video is a skill no online marketer can afford to ignore. Here are some tips to fire up your creativity.
Tip # 1 –Put yourself into the shoes of your target customers and see if you can identify their needs. There are always weak areas or problems that a customer faces for which you can provide solution or something that you can do faster, better, cheaper, longer, safer etc.
Tip # 2 –After you have identified a specific customer need, highlight it to them and present it as a problem that needs a solution. Now provide a unique solution to that specific problem. It is recommended where ever possible to provide at least one solution for free. This will help generate goodwill from your customers and also creates brand value.
Tip #3 –Continue with the video providing a technique for addressing the problem. Be involved and focus on helping your customers this will show through as being passionate about what you do. Do not make pushy sales pitch they can be a major turnoff. This is not a TV commercial video so stay away from making your video look like one.
Tip #4 –Remember to keep things from being to impersonal. How to do this is to quickly introduce yourself and what you do initially. Then tell them what your video is all about and what benefits it will give the viewers.
Tip #5 –Stay informed, get to know how people are creating and presenting their videos online. Watch these video regularly and learn from them and derive inspiration for your own creations. Stay away from imitating others if possible or if you do then do it better.
Tip #6 –There are a number of tools that provide various data on e.g. the number of people who watched your video, how long they watched, how they reached your video etc. Remember to use these feedbacks for analysis to improve and target potential customer better.
Tip #7 –Remember the purpose of you creating this video is ultimately to drive traffic to your site. Therefore direct your viewers to your site for more information or help. One common but effective line is “If you have enjoyed this video and want more information I want/ please go visit http:/………” Always make sure you have the address provided in written form and flashed on the screen.
